Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has approved construction of a state-of-the-art block of classrooms at Ayelogun Grammar School, Malete, Idere.
Approving the project on Thursday, March 6, 2025, Hon. Adepoju said that the construction would kick off on Monday, March 10, 2025. According to the lawmaker, the construction became imperative as a result of the state of infrastructure in the school environment.
Reports have it that the last construction on the school premises took place in the 1990s, a development that has left the school’s infrastructure in a state of concern.
Hon. Adepoju thanked the people of Idere for their support during and after the election, promising the people of the community more infrastructural development in the year 2025.
He appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his impeccable leadership style, which he said has had a lasting impact on his stewardship since being elected as a member of parliament in 2023.
The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character praised the two local government chairmen in the federal constituency for their efforts in their respective localities, saying that he would continue to collaborate with government at all level to bring accelerated development to Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North.
