Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has congratulated Dr. Adenike Ayobami Fasina on her appointment as the new Head of Service of Oyo State by Governor Seyi Makinde, describing the development as a well-deserved recognition of competence, dedication and years of meritorious service.
In a congratulatory message made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital on Saturday, May 30, 2026, Hon. Adepoju disclosed that the news of Dr. Fasina’s appointment has brought immense joy to the entire Ibarapa region and its environs, stating that her elevation to the highest career position in the state civil service is a moment of pride for all sons and daughters of Ibarapa both at home and in the diaspora.
The federal lawmaker remarked that Dr. Fasina’s remarkable rise from joining the Oyo State Civil Service as a Statistician II in 2000 to becoming Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and now Head of Service is a sterling but distinguished example of hard work, resilience and professional excellence. He added that her career progression reflects the rewards of dedication and integrity in public service.
According to him, Ibarapa indigenes have consistently distinguished themselves in every field of human endeavour and in every assignment entrusted to them, stressing that the region has continued to produce exceptional individuals who contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of society.
The federal lawmaker expressed confidence in the capacity of the new Head of Service to excel in her new role, citing her wealth of experience, outstanding administrative record and numerous professional accomplishments, including her recognition with the Oyo State Merit more than once and Productivity Award and her membership of the National Institute (mni).
He stated that Dr. Fasina’s appointment comes at a critical time when the public service requires visionary leadership, innovation and efficiency, adding that her background and expertise place her in a strong position to drive reforms and strengthen service delivery across the state.
While wishing her a successful tenure, Ibarapakan prayed that God grants her wisdom, strength and good health to discharge the responsibilities of her office effectively.
The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character, however, expressed optimism that Dr. Fasina will make the people of Oyo State proud and leave behind a legacy of excellence, professionalism and impactful service.
